·  Specification A 2” short profile gas foot valve assembly (part No CE802B/XXXXL) is fitted, comprising:

Internal - 2” stainless steel straight line internal safety valve

External - 2” stainless steel ball valve

·  Remarks :The assembly terminates with a blind flange with 3¼”screwed couple. Internally, a syphon pipe is provided and supported at the bottom of the tank. A sump is not fitted.

2.5  Pressure Gauge 

A pressure gauge with a 0 - 40 bar graduation is fitted on the rear elliptical end in the crown section. A angle valve with 1/2” female connections precedes the pressure gauge and enables isolation of the gauge from pressure.

2.6  Thermometer 

A thermometer is fitted in the rear elliptical end in the crown section.

 

2.7  Level gauge

A level gauge is fitted on the manhole flange cover. 

2.8  Sunshield 

A marine grade sunshield, 0.6mm thickness and 40mm minimum from the tank shell, covers the upper third of the tank shell. 

2.9  Document Holder 

1-off clear PVC document holder is provided. The holder is water-resistant and is fitted on the rear end of frame.

2.10  Decals 

One set per tank as per code requirements.   Owner logos supplied by client and applied by JOPM.

2.11  Data Plates 

One set of stainless steel data plates per tank as per code requirements. The volume of each tank is determined and the individual tank capacity is used for data plate marking. 

2.12  Valve Cabinet 

A steel valve protection cabinet, complete with aluminium alloy door, houses the gas and liquid line valves, pressure gauge and thermometer.

2.13  Provision for Baffles 

Three sets of surge baffles shall be installed.

 

3.0  Finish 

3.1  Internal : Internal Shell Surface  Shot-blasted to SA 2½

Weld Seams  As welded. Welds are de-scaled (sweep blasted)

3.2  External : External Surface  Shot-blasted to SA 2½ prior to painting

3.3  Fittings 

 

All fittings, including valves and pipe sections shall be cleaned and then fitted to the tank.

3.4  Cleaning 

 

After sweep blasting, the vessel's internal surface shall be cleaned completely. After cleaning, the opening points are sealed ready for leakage test and nitrogen purging. 

3.5  Leakage Test and Nitrogen Purge 

 

After cleaning, all valves, blind flanges, caps and connected piping are installed and a leak test is performed at 7 bar using clean and dry air. The vessel will be delivered in a Nitrogen purged condition. Nitrogen will be used (O2 < 3% residual oxygen, 0.5 bar pressure).

 

3.6  Painting 

 

The carbon steel frame components are shot-blasted to SA 2½ and painted as follows:

 120 micron min DFT  DFT Colour:   Blue.

 

The exterior of the tank to be cleaned completely before application of paint.

TOTAL 120 micron min DFT Colour:   White

4.0  Test and Homologations

 

1.  These tank containers are constructed according to an approved design.

2.  Each production unit is subject to testing and non-destructive examination as required by ASME VIII Division 1, RID/ADR and UIC quality requirements. Each unit is inspected by the Authorised Inspector and classification society. And the Authorised Inspector shall be assigned by LR Register (LR) .

3.  The container has been subjected to a stacking test load of 86400kg per corner post and is approved for 192000kg.

4.  The UN Portable Tank fulfils the performance specification of the following International Organisation's regulations and recommendations and is supplied with their Approvals.

  5.0  Documentation 

 

The following documentation will be provided:

1.  LR Certificate of portable tank for each tank.

3.  Export Pressure Vessel supervision certificate(if needed). 

4.  Product quality certification, as-built drawing(GA and storage vessel) and operation instructions for each tank.
